Deerhunter – Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? | Album Review

American band Deerhunter have always been celebrated for their unique take on the alternative-rock-pop scene. By using their signature, psychedelic sound, the group have crafted some great and interesting records over the years. With "Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?", Deerhunter do make use of their typical sound to capture some trippy moments, but the pacing of the tracks ends up becoming tedious. The way that the group present the instrumentation on this record isn't as adventurous as the band have done in the past, and to be frank, comes across as quite boring.

Bring Me The Horizon – amo | Album Review

The rock genre seems to be a sort of prison for those who're labelled under the umbrella. Many bands have abandoned their rock roots over the years and progressed into a different sound (pop more often than not), whether for creative diversity or the hopes of being more "radio friendly". Bring Me The Horizon take this very step on their recent 2019 release "amo". Their 2015 LP "That's the Spirit" experimented with layering electronic effects over their alt-rock sound, and "amo" just takes this experimentation one step further.
